India’s share of each world total, 2025

India was the world’s largest producer of barite, talc and pyrophyllite, feldspar and nepheline syenite, clays, and iron oxide pigments in 2025, by USGS figures. That included 34% of world barite. USGS lists India separately in 36 commodity tables, the fourth highest count of the 114 countries named. That count is the second highest among the 36 countries in Asia that USGS names.
